The United Nations Climate Week took place during 1 – 6 September 2025, hosted in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia. The leaders of countries understand the importance of implementing their responsibilities towards the 2030 ‘Climate Change’ Agenda.However, during Climate Week 2, ,and a platform was created to discuss further how to accelerate climate implementation. Bringing together financial institutions, governments, technical experts, civil society and the youth.

E2E London agrees that solutions become identifiable, when regional and global actors come together to tackle real-implementation challenges. Having a determination to create scalable solutions.

An implementation forum provides a dedicated platform. Solutions-oriented dialogue, which aims at identifying barriers, co-designing enabling conditions. Hopefully, this will become commitments with measurable outcomes.

It will be very interesting to understand the importance of a ‘Financial Laboratory.’

Its purpose is to strengthen the understanding, design and implementation of financial solutions for climate priorities.

How will this be achieved? The financial solutions will be used for the needs- driven delivery of National Determined Contributions( NDCs), and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs).

What is the reason for having National Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs)? It helps in supporting the focus while addressing the policies and institutional barriers. It aligns locally led approaches, building technical and institutional capacity, that provide enabling environments.

Expectations?

There’s a great expectation from the opening of the implementation forum on the 21 May, to the plenary session on Thursday 22 May 2025. A series of side events including the COP 30 Presidency special events, Enhancing NDCs Ambition for a Sustainable and just Future and the implementation lab to mention a few… This has broadened the horizon of how ‘Climate Ambassadors.,’ Such as key stakeholders, multilateral and national development banks, businesses, civil society and indigenous Peoples. The vision is to identify actionable outcomes, that will drive sustainable progress.

PARIS AGREEMENT – CLIMATE TREATY

The United Nations and many countries signed the Paris Agreement. This is a legally binding international treaty on climate change. A treaty that has brought 196 countries together to adopt a very important global topic in 2015. UN Climate Change Conference known (COP21) in Paris.
